📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Reaching For The Peak. The gymnastics team was picked to finish second in the inaugural Mountain West Preseason Coaches Poll! They’ll compete for a Mountain West Championship for the first time in March. The season will begin at the Super 16 in Las Vegas on January 5.

MPSF Gymnast of the Year Lauren Macpherson will be returning for the Spartans. She was the 2023 MPSF All-Around Champion and competed at the NCAA Los Angeles Regional. She’s tied for the second-best all-around score in school history.

Jaudai Lopes is also back with the team this season. She was the MPSF Co-Vault Champion and also competed at the NCAA Regional.

Jada Mazury returns for her fifth year, she competed on the floor at the NCAA Regional last season.

🔼 Hard Work Paid Off. Spartan volleyball player Jiana Lawson was named to the 2023 Academic All-District Volleyball Team by the College Sports Communicators. She’s recognized as one of the nation’s top student-athletes for her performance on the court and in the classroom. Jiana is graduating next week with a communication studies degree.

🔼 Help Us Out. Known as the “Best Band in the Bay,” your SJSU Spartan Marching Band, has been invited to perform at the EasyPost Hawai’i Bowl on December 23. The band asks for your help to raise $25,000 to cover partial travel expenses. Donate today!

🔼 Listen Up. The Coaches Show at Narrative Fermentations took place Monday night, but you can listen to it tomorrow at 7 pm on 860AM KTRB! Hear from assistant head coach and recruiting coordinator Alonzo Carter, football student-athlete Andrew Jenkins, and deputy director of athletics Scott MacDonald.
