Good morning! It’s a busy weekend on the diamond for Spartan baseball and softball! We have everything you need to know and more down below.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Made The Cut. The week continues for women’s golfer Kajsa Arwefjäll at the Augusta National Women’s Amateur. She’s tied for 21st at 2-over after two rounds of the tournament. Her standing made the cut for tomorrow’s final round at the Augusta National Country Club. The final will begin at 8:40 am and live coverage will air on NBC from 9 am-noon.

🔼  Solid Season. The gymnastics season came to a close for the team at the Berkeley Regional, where they fell to Southern Utah. Jada Mazury won the floor and she will compete individually tonight in Session Two of Round Two at 7 pm on bars and floor. Lauren Macpherson won the vault and will also compete tonight in the all-around. Katherine Weyhmiller won beam and will compete on beam tonight as an individual. Jaudai Lopes won the all-around with a 39.150.

🔼  Midweek Mania. The beach volleyball team took down Saint Mary’s 3-2 at their place on Wednesday. Cheyenne Rice and Teila Allen won two of three sets to clinch the match win! Siena Brewster and Meredith Scott got the Spartans’ first point. The Spartans improved to 10-10 on the season. They’ll finish the regular season next weekend when they host Santa Clara and San Francisco.

🔼 Back In The Swing Of Things. Spartan baseball will resume conference play as they host San Diego State this weekend. The three-game series will take place at Stephen Schott Stadium at Santa Clara. San José State won the season series against the Aztecs last year, 3-2. They got back in the swing of things on Tuesday, defeating Santa Clara, 11-8. First pitch is tonight at 6:05 pm.

🔼 Road Trippin’. The women’s tennis team is on the road at Colorado State today for a 10 am conference matchup. They haven’t seen the court in more than a week since the San Diego State matchup was rained out. They’re on a two-game winning streak after beating Air Force and UC San Diego. On Sunday, they’ll stay on the road for a 9 am match at Wyoming. Hear from Coach Skorupka ahead of the weekend!

🔼 On The Road, Again. Spartan softball is also on the road this weekend for two games at Nevada. They’ll start things off tomorrow at 1 pm and conclude the series on Sunday at noon. Both games can be seen on the Mountain West Network.
