🔼 Ticket To Paradise. The Spartans are in Hawaii this weekend! They’ll play the Rainbow Warriors at 9pm PT on Saturday and it can be watched live on Spectrum Sports. The Spartans are looking for their third-straight win. This will be a homecoming for quarterback Chevan Cordeiro, who grew up in Honolulu and spent his first four years playing for Hawaii. Chevan became the Mountain West all-time leader in touchdowns responsible for with 104, surpassing players like BYU’s Max Hall and TCU’s Andy Dalton.

🔼 Island Tee Time. The men’s golf team is also in Hawaii at the Ka’anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational through Saturday! After one round, the Spartans sit in third-place out of 20 teams. Ivan Barahona sits tied for second to lead the team. The tournament is raising money to help Maui’s wildfire victims, you can donate a flat donation or a per-birdie pledge. Click here to donate!

🔼 Vegas, Baby. The men’s soccer team clinched their spot in the WAC Tournament for the 7th-straight season! The tournament is in Las Vegas, Nevada and will take place November 5-11.

🔼  Downed The Dawgs. The volleyball team fought till the very end to get the 3-2 win at Fresno State! Nayeli Ti’a led the team with 17 kills and recorded 10 digs, earning her fourth double-double of the season. Brooke Slusser was incredible, racking up 26 assists, 10 digs, 5 kills, and a service ace to win the match. They’ll head to Nevada on Saturday for a 1pm match on the Mountain West Network.

🔼 Nik’s The Pick. The October recipient of the CalHOPE Courage Award is our very own Nik Trapani. Nik plays baseball here and was a big part in winning the Mountain West last season. The award honors student-athletes at California schools who have overcome the stress, anxiety, and mental trauma associated with personal hardships and adversity. Nik is the second Spartan to receive the award, women’s soccer player Jennah Loggins was honored in September.
