🔼 The Time Is Now. It’s finally time for Spartan football! San José State will kick things off at No. 6 USC tomorrow at 5:00pm on the Pac-12 Network and KTRB 860 AM. The Spartans will be led by the Mountain West Preseason Offensive Player of the Year, Chevan Cordeiro. Coach Brennan met with the media for his weekly press conference before heading to Los Angeles, and you can watch it here!

🔼  Winners Circle. The Spartan women’s soccer team got the win last night at Northeastern, 1-0. Bella Flocchini got her second goal of the year to put the Spartans over Northeastern. The team will be back in action at Boston College on Sunday at 9:00am PT on ESPN+.

🔼 A New Era. The volleyball season opens today in the San José State/Santa Clara Tournament under new head coach, Todd Kress. The Spartans will start things off tonight against CSUN at 7:00pm in the Spartan Gym. They’ll continue the tournament tomorrow against Jacksonville at 5:00pm and Sunday against Santa Clara at 4:00pm. You can watch all of the Spartan matches on the Mountain West Network.

🔼 Home Sweet Home. Tickets are going fast for the home opener against Oregon State on September 3. Don’t miss your chance to watch the Spartans take on the nationally-ranked Beavers at CEFCU stadium. There will even be a halftime youth football parade! You won’t want to miss it.

⚔️ ONE BIG THING

Miss Worldwide. Spartan swimmer Felicity Passon is representing her country of Seychelles in the Indian Ocean Island Games in Madagascar. This is her second major meet back after dealing with an injury. She broke two SJSU pool records in the 200-yard backstroke and 50-yard freestyle last season. She’s a seven-time champion at the Indian Ocean Island Games.
