🔼 Home Advantage. The Volleyball team beat Portland 3-2 in its home opener on Thursday. Freshman Eva Vostracka served the final seven points of the fifth set to help win the match. Lolohea Fonua led the Spartans with 13 kills and hit .379 for the match.

🔼 Brick Wall. The Women’s Soccer team tied CSUN 0-0 on Thursday. This marked goalkeeper Paige Fry’s first clean sheet of her career. Fry recorded four saves. The Spartans had nine shots and four were on goal.

🔼 In Japan! The Women’s Golf team is competing at the Pan Pacific University Golf Super League Tournament in Japan. SJSU is third overall with a score of 583 (+15) after two rounds. Tessa Kremser leads the Spartans with a score even to par. Lotte Schuhr follows with a score of 147 (+5).

New Staff. The Track and Field team named Majesty Tutson as a new assistant coach. In her career, she represented the United States as a coach for Team Uni USA at the FISU America Games.

She coached athletes to # medals, including gold medals in the women’s hammer and women’s shot put.
