📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Victory! The women’s basketball team beat Utah State 58-56 on Wednesday. The team shot 36.5% from the field. Maya Anderson recorded her third 20-point game of the season. She led all scorers with 22 points. Allie Cummins had 11 points. Katarina Anderson hit a free throw with 22 seconds remaining to help the Spartans beat Utah State.

🔼 Championship. The swim and dive team started competition at the Mountain West Championship. On day one, Ela Freiman broke her own record in the 200 IM. The 400 medley relay team broke a 12-year-old record. On day two, Lillie Grover finished fourth in the 100 butterfly. She swam the second-fastest time in school history. Freiman took eighth in the 400 IM. Stephanie Sifferman won the 200 free C-final.

Weekly Honor. The gymnastics team had an athlete earn Mountain West Freshman of the Week honors. The Spartans are back in action this Sunday at home! Come to the tri-meet at the Provident Credit Union Event Center at 2pm.

PROVIDENT CREDIT UNION AWARDS GRANTS TO SJSU STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS

On Tuesday, February 17, during the SJSU Men’s Basketball game against Nevada, Provident Credit Union awarded $500 grants to eight San José State University student organizations in recognition of their positive impact on campus.

Through its Student Organization Grant Program, Provident Credit Union supports groups that promote education, leadership, cultural awareness, and professional development. Joshua Melander, Business Development Manager, presented this year’s grants to the following organizations:

  • Adobe Ambassador Student Club

  • Black Student Union

  • Braven Club

  • Graduate Business Student Association

  • Indian Student Organization

  • The Mustard Seed Project

  • Nutrition and Food Science (NuFS) Club

  • UNICEF

Provident Credit Union is proud to support these outstanding student organizations as they continue making a meaningful difference at SJSU and beyond.
