📈 STOCK UP

🔼 We Are The Champions. The women’s golf team won their second Mountain West title in three years! The team won by a whopping 18 strokes after shooting 9-under in the final round. Kajsa Arwefjäll kept her hot streak alive and took the Mountain West individual title after firing 9-under 207. Lucia Lopez Ortega finished in third-place, she led the tournament with 17 birdies. Louisa Carlbom and Rebecca Gyllner tied for ninth. They’ll wait around until Wednesday to find out what NCAA Regional they’ll be playing in.

🔼 Irena’s World. Women’s tennis player Irena Muradyan was named Mountain West Player of the Week this week! She helped the Spartans to a 4-0 win on her senior day and went 3-1 last week. The Spartans fell to Fresno State in a 4-3 loss yesterday. Rozalina Youseva and Duru Durgan won their doubles and singles matches to lead the team. They’ll head to Las Vegas on Wednesday to play in the Mountain West Championship.

🔼 Comeback Queens. The Spartan softball team picked up a midweek 5-4 comeback win at Saint Mary’s on Wednesday! Korie Thomas went 2-for-2 with an RBI double. Ahmiya Noriega hit what would be the game-winning sac fly to score Ashley Rico and take the lead. Lacie Ham allowed zero runs in 3 innings of relief. They look to keep that momentum going into the weekend as they travel to Colorado State. They’ll play the Rams this morning at 10 am.

🔼 Looking For Revenge. It’s time for a rematch between San Jose State baseball and Fresno State, who sits at the top of the conference. The Spartans are on the road for the series that begins tonight at 6:05 pm. Keaton Chase will get the rock to start us off tonight and Micky Thompson will start tomorrow. Matt Spear’s bat has been on fire as of late, he’s homered in four of his last five games. Saturday’s game will start at 3:05 pm and they’ll conclude the series on Sunday at 1:05 pm.

⚔️ ONE BIG THING

If you’re going to tonight’s San Francisco Giants game, you’ll recognize the man throwing the first pitch! Spartan football coach Ken Niumatalolo will throw the pitch, plus it’s SJSU Night at the game. The dance team and the band will provide entertainment and perform the National Anthem.
