📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Career Week. The first Mountain West weekly awards were released on Monday and Nick Nash earned Offensive Player of the Week! He had a career-high weekend with 3 touchdowns, 89 receiving yards, and 6 catches. His touchdown receptions tied a single-game SJSU record. Last season, the Spartans had four Player of the Week honors, this is Nick’s first.

🔜 The Spartans are back in action on Sunday at 12:30pm for the home opener against No. 18 Oregon State. Tickets are going fast, so be sure to secure yours ASAP! Click here to purchase as the new Spartan Athletics Center makes its game day debut.

🔼  Not Done Yet. The weekly honors don’t stop there for the Spartans, Angel Iniguez was named the WAC Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week! He led the Spartans to a 1-1 draw against CSU Bakersfield and a 2-1 win over UC San Diego last week. He was involved in all three goals, recording two of the assists and scoring against UC San Diego. He leads the conference with four points.

🔜 The men’s soccer team is back in action tomorrow at 5:00pm when they host San Francisco. Click here for tickets!

🔼 Double Header. Immediately after the men’s soccer game tomorrow, the women’s team will be in action against UC Irvine. The team went 1-1 on their two-game trip to Boston last week. Bella Flocchini leads the way with two goals on the season. Bente Pernot has been holding it down, recording 10 saves last week.

⚔️ ONE BIG THING

Off The Course. The men’s golf team did great work in the classroom, so great that they earned the Golf Coaches Association of America Outstanding Team Academic Award. Three Spartans were also named GCAA All-American Scholars — Kris Stiles, Zubair Firdaus, and Kotaro Murata. Kris was also named a 2022-23 Black College Golf Coaches Association All-American.
